Game 1 on Friday was against the CT Lazers. The first period was pretty even despite the fact that CT had 3 power plays. Hub City started to take control in the 2nd but the Lazers goaltender was terrific. With about two minutes remaining in the period Hub City's Michael Cusato stole a pass and broke in alone. As he was being pulled down from behind, he got a shot off that was gloved by the CT goalie. However, the ref called a penalty shot. Cusato moved in and snapped a wrist shot past the goalies blocker to give Hub City the lead.
In the 3rd, the pressure continued on CT. A goal by Vasili Malliaras was called back because of a high stick, and then Cusato rang one off the crossbar.
Hub City goalie Alex Mirageas was strong in net and the game ended with in a 1-0 victory.
Game 2 against the Gouverneurs AAA team was a very chippy affair. Both teams had unsuccessful power plays until the Gouverneurs Louick Marcotte scored a breakaway short handed goal half way through the second period. Hub City came right back to tie the score on a power play goal two minutes later. Luke Griffin scored from in close assisted by Trip Pace and Lucas Davis. In the third, the penalties continued. But the penalty killing of Joe Sweeney, Tim Herbert, Andrew Etheridge and Cusato helped keep it at 1-1. With less than two minutes left a Hub City power play almost turned into a disaster. Marcotte got another breakaway, this time Hub City goalie, Conor Carew, made a huge save with his right pad. On the ensuing rush, Davis scored to secure a 2-1 victory.

Game 3 vs. the Ottawa Jr. Senators was more of the same, another close, low scoring game. The defense of Cole Morrisett, Brian Fleming, Geno Carpeno and Shawn Lynch were strong and Mirageas was solid between the pipes. Davis scored from Morrisett. to make it 1-0 Hub City. Then Carpeno crashed into the boards and had to be helped off with an ankle injury. The team seemed to sag a bit and Ottawa scored two in the second to take the lead heading into the final frame. With 3:13 left, a penalty was called on the Senators and Griffin converted from Pace and Herbert and the game was tied. The Senators stormed the net but a pass back was intercepted and Pace took off on a clean breakaway. He deked the Senators goalie and lifted a backhander over him with 29 seconds remaining to give Hub City another dramatic win.
Game 4 against the Montreal Vipers was a tough one. Carpeno and Morrisett were both banged up, but they played hurt. Montreal scored two early goals but after Carpeno banged one off the post, the team picked up. Griffin scored on the power play and the guys from the Florida Everblades, Malliaras, Alex Gibbons and Shea Keller were all over the Montreal netminder. A two man advantage for Hub City in the last minute of the first period was where the game was decided. Despite great pressure, the score stayed at 2-1. Montreal then got three in the second to put the game away. In the third, with the score now at 6-1, Pace scored the final goal of the game from Davis and Griffin to make it 6-2.
