
Game one..vs Cougars Selects made up of players from Team Illinois, Chicago Mission and other Midwest Elite League teams Hub City had lead after two periods 2-1, but could not hold off the attack and faltered 4-2, one of which was an empty net goal. Starting goalie Max Ciovacco (CD Selects) played awesome. Goals by Clay Beger (FL Everblades) and Mitchell Allen (Cd Selects)
Game two...vs. Brewster Bulldogs made of players from Westchester Express, little Caesars (Detroit) Lost 0-4, played well just could not put puck in the net. Statring Goalie Cody Doyle (CT Lazers) held Team in game only given up one goal in two periods.
3rd game...vs Northern Ontario Panthers, all star team made up of kids from north of Toronto. Hub City came out fast and hard but just could not put the puck in the net as the Panthers goalie was hot. Even though Hub City outshot the Panthers, the fell 0 - 8.
After having two straight shutouts, coach Drevitch needed to find some goals so the team went downtown Toronto to none other than Wayne Gretzkys resturant. Although the Great One was not there, the kids enjoyed themselves looking at all the memorabilia and having some fine Gretzky

4th game....vs Playmakers Blue, a team made up from Hamilton, Ontario, Buffalo, Rochester and West Seneca, NY. The Hub City team needed at least a point to qualify to the playoff or they were going home. As in the last two games, plenty of shots but no goals. Playing extremely hard , but entering the third period down three to nothing, Gretzkys lunch finally kicked in. With 11 minutes to go on a nice passing play Shane Rinkus (Baystate Breakers) got Hub City on the board. Twenty six seconds later, Rinkus again on a nice passing play scored his second of the night. Playmakers Blue scored again to make go up 2-4. Hub City came right back, ex Bridgewater Bandit Brett Strawn (Baystate Breakers) from Tyler Drevitch (Bridgewater Bandits) Setting up the frantic finish, Hub City got the equalizer from with Mark Dufour (Seacoast Spartans) becoming the hero scoring with 2 minutes to go to earn the 4 - 4 tie
