91/92 Montreal Division was made up of 16 teams.
1st game - loss to East Coast Selects 6-0. East Coast won the tournament last year and made it to the semi-finals this year. They finished 3rd overall in the round robin standings. Goalie Kevin Hoy was outstanding in net.
2nd game - loss to Brandywine 7-0. Brandywine was the runner-up last year and made it to the semi-finals this year. They finished 5th in the round robin standings. We were badly outplayed from the drop of the puck. Goalie David Rapp did an admirable job stopping a barrage of shots.
3rd game - tie with New Brunswick Prospects. After going down 2-0 after two periods, Montreal native Robbie Hiughes netted the first goal of the tournament on a break away. We called a time out with 38 seconds left to set the lines. With 8.9 seconds left, Joe Braasch scored on a rebound with Alex Quinn and Pat Breed getting each an assist. Great game by goalie Hoy!
4th game - loss to V-Red Russia 6-0. Down 1-0 after one period period, the team fell apart in the second with 5 penalties which led to 3 power play goals. We spent the third period playing "frustrated". V-Red Russia finished fourth in the round robin standings. Another good effort by goalie Rapp.
Overall, the three teams that beat us finished in the top 5 of the tournament. Overall a tough draw, but the lack of scoring and discipline with bad penalties led to our overall demise!!
Goalie Hoy was approached by two scouts, one from Ottawa and the other from NY.
