Spring Elite League Update Apr. 30, 2008
With the conclusion of week three, the eight team elite league is beginning to break. The top four teams have proven there ability, and the chase is on for each of the four playoff spots. Currently, the Sabres are in firts place with a record of 2-0-1, with the Penguins and Senators right behind them at 2-1-0 and the Hurricanes with a record of 1-0-2. The Islanders, Thrashers, and the Devils have all shown signs of improvement and could easily move themselves into playoff race with a few wins in a row. The scoring leader currently is Cody Warnock (Senators) with a line of 8 goals, 4 assists, for 12 points. Right behind Warnock is Kyle Phelan (Sabres) with a line of 6 goals, 2 assists for 8 points.
