Prospects Blog...Day One Round Up Apr. 25, 2008
The '97 team played solid hockey today, but came up on the short end of each game. In the night cap of the '97's day, they faced off against a tough team of Ontario area players. Hub City jumped out to a quick 1-0 start on a goal from Patrick Kramer. Kramer picked up the puck in the Hub City end and went coast to coast, and finished the deal with a wrist shot from just above the cirlcles. The Hub City '97 team gave up 2 quick goals, but responded with 18 seconds left in the second period on a goal by Landon Hassenfus, to head into the 2nd period intermission with a 2-2 tie. The third period featured solid goaltending by both clubs and lots of skating. On a late turnover by Hub City, the game turned and ended with a 3-2 tie.
The '96 team suffered a 4-1 loss in thier am game, that featured a great tip goal by Mitchell Lundholm. Stay tuned for '96 updates, as they play this afternoon in the late game.
The competition has been very good, and the Hub City teams have been in every game. Stay tuned for more info!
