Toronto Prospects Daily Blog Apr. 25, 2008
The '97 Hub City Prospects group landed in Toronto, Ontario on thursday day/evening. The afternoon of Thursday, April 24th featured an outdoor whiffle ball game between the Hub City '97 squad and the Junior Bruins '97 team, some adult workout time, and the evening ended with dinner and a good nights sleep.
The '97 team openned up play on Friday morning against a strong team called Wave Hockey, based out of the Greater Toronoto Area. The Hub CIty team battled hard, but came up on the short end stick with a 3-0 lose. The game featured lots of solid skating, and solid goaltending by Elijah Harris of the Minuteman Flames. Harris played the first period and a half and kept the score to 1-0. Although Hub City controlled the play in the 3rd period, the Wave goalie was able to stiffle the offense. The '96 team is currently playing and scores will be posted later in the day!
