3 on 3 Tournament Begins Friday

Hub CIty Hockey is excited to announce the schedule for the 3rd Annual Hub Cup 3 on 3 tournament.  This years tournament features nine teams that will compete in a round robin over the course of 2 days, with the top six teams advancing to Sunday's playoff round.  The 3 on 3 features a "no rules" style of play.  Although there is a referee on the ice, the puck is never out of play.  The modo of the tournament is "No Offsides, No Icing, Lots of Goals!"  Penalties result in penalty shots, with opposing team members chasing the shooter.  Hub CIty Director Todd Stirling commenstson the tournament, "This tournament features lots of open ice for players to be creative, have fun and truly enjoy the game of hockey.  Each year the tournament has grown in size and all the participants look forward to this weekend."

The tournament begins on Friday, April 18th in the evening and runs all day on Saturday the 19th, with the playoffs being held on Sunday April 20th.  Come down to the Bridgewater Ice Arena to see some exciting hockey action.
